The Curse of the Number One Seed continued, as Tazed and Confused was the only home team to not make it through the first round. They had a third-best point tally for the week, but Old Kids on the Block were tied for first. The “Oh, yeah I can beat your team with half my roster tied behind my back” game was surprisingly close, as a cooled-off Ebonic Plague could not pull away from Roughed-up Suspects until late in the game. They host the Kids next week.

On the other side of the bracket, Backyard Bullies, bounced out of their late-season swoon in a big way, tying for the highest point total of the week. They needed most of it, as running back rich, Toilet Trainers, kept the pressure on. Catholic Nun and the Posse survived a close call when they skated to a low-scoring tie against historical enemy, GerfluchtWeasels. In the shootout, young Nun, Phillip Rivers, got the game winner after a Jason Elam miss.
