Finally, you reach a confusing, unmarked intersections of trails, which is basically Boulder Flats. As you can see by the second photo, there’s kind of Stonehenge looking thing on top, which I’m presuming is natural and has no seasonal significance, but gives the place its name.

At this point, I turned back and notice some of the rough rocks often seen in parts of the Superstitions. The last picture is going back on the north portion of the Pine Creek Loop. It’s still quite rocky, but a pretty easy, steady descent. The water rushing sounds are gradually replaced with traffic from AZ-87 as you head back to the trailhead parking lot.
