Trails Near First Water Trailhead


These photos are arranged going roughly North. This segment is 3.2 difficult miles long.

The trail heads away from Yellow Mountain and shortly after becomes quite overgrown for most of the dirt segments.

The first, and probably easiest, creek crossing.

When you stop to look, there are several of the iconic peaks to see along your way.

The constant creek crossings, and often hard to spot cairns, make for slow going. (Shadow Man Photography)

Going through the narrow canyon lead to a lot of natural shade, a plus on a hot day.
