I was seeing a lot of people coming down the trail as I was climbing up it. I’m guessing they took the practical step of doing this hike at the crack of dawn. I’m not really of crack of dawn kind of guy, so I was ready with extra water for a hot hike. After about 1/3 of the way up, I didn’t see anyone for the rest of the hike. By the time I got back to the parking lot, it was nearly empty.

Like Siphon Draw, there are many interesting looking rocks as you look around. And when you look off into the distance, you see the vastness of the Superstitions and surrounding mountains. I enjoyed the view whenever I stooped to rest or drink some water, which was quite often
