This is the Siphon Draw trail. It starts near the bottom of Praying Hands rock formation of the Superstition Mountains and goes up, up, up. I knew it was going to be steep, and be mostly scrambling, by I didn’t realize how difficult it would be. Part of it was borderline rock-climbing. If I did not have new shoes with fresh tread, it would have been fairly hazardous. It starts out easily enough as you go past Thumb Rock, but one you get to the Waterfall section (just black streaks the day I went), the climb gets progressively steeper and more difficult.
